I've had a bit of a busy week this week, updating some old designs and coming up with some new ones. The latest is this lovely friendship print which was suggested to me by an old school friend. She was after a gift for a friend who was about to move away and had come across the saying 'Good friends are like stars, you don't have to see them to know they are there'. I often don't know what style I'm going to do a print in until I start and it was certainly the case here. I started with quite a twee design, feminine writing on a night sky background but it seemed too contrived. I love retro design and came across a great letterpress plugin which I enjoyed playing around with and after a few hours had come up with this:
